About Campus Jam

Part of the appeal of the afternoon Campus Jam is that the music will weave naturally and freely around the campus. Designated areas will be hosted by home town strummers who may encourage groups and individuals to mix it up! Blending the unique sounds together, this will be a great opportunity to find like-minded string players, and to explore the musical possibilities together.

Jam grass music is rooted in bluegrass, but often borrows from other genres of sounds, like country, rock, gospel, and jazz. The overall sound is warm and inviting.

Aireloom Music Studio & others will be participating in the Campus Jam. All musicians are invited to join in and Jam! Bring your instrument, be a part of the fun. Mary Ley leading a children's show, Dennis Stukenburg will head the Blues station, Chris Kolling will host the Rock & Roll zone, and local guitarist, Mike Bratt will be hosting the Country and Bluegrass station.

No need to register for anything- this part of the afternoon is completely laid back, and the idea is to have fun! We would, however, love to hear that you are planning on jamming with us Saturday between 2:30 and 4:00 PM.
